This privacy policy explains in detail what information we collect from persons who use and/or provide delivery services on our Deliver In Person delivery mobile application (Deliver In Person App) and how we protect and use that information. In this document, “we”, “us” or “our” means DIP Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 653 903 649) of c/- WSC Group, Unit 11, 800-812 Illawarra Road, Menai NSW 2234, Australia and Deliver In Person Pty Ltd (ACN 637 730 468) of Unit 11, 800-812 Illawarra Road, Menai NSW 2234, Australia.
As part of the process to use the Deliver In Person App, we require you to provide information which may include your name, email, and phone number in addition to other information including your passport (in order to verify your identity and right to work in Australia) and a driving license (as required by the applicable law in the relevant state that you are providing the services) so that if applicable we are sure you can legally drive to perform the delivery services.
The information you provide to us will be associated with your account registered with the Deliver In Person App.
If we request that you complete a background check through a third party service, any such information is held by the service provider. We will receive and hold a copy of the results of the background check.
We will not collect ‘sensitive information’ from you or any third party.
The Deliver In Person App may collect information from your mobile device while it is installed. The information which may be collected includes the model, manufacturer, MAC Address and software version of your mobile device.
We may use this information for analytical purposes and to fix any bugs and other technical issues that arise while using the Deliver In Person App.
To provide the delivery services, the Deliver In Person App may collect certain information from you and your device which may have the Deliver In Person App installed. This may include your GPS coordinates to let us and our customers know when to expect the deliveries. By agreeing to provide the services in accordance with our terms on the Deliver In Person App, you consent to our collection of this information in accordance with our privacy policy.
Our main reason for collecting and using your personal information is to perform our contract with you so that we can provide the services through the Deliver In Person App.
We may also use your personal information where it is in our legitimate business interest. However, in some cases, our interests may be overridden by your data protection interests or your fundamental legal rights and freedoms
We may have a legal obligation to collect personal information from you or we might need to process it or share it with others to protect your vital interests or those of another person (e.g., where your life or that of another person is in danger).
If we ask you to provide personal information to comply with a legal requirement or to perform our obligations under the contract with you, we will make this clear at the time and advise you whether the provision of your personal information is mandatory.
If we collect and use your personal information in reliance on our legitimate interests (or those of any third party), we will make clear to you at the relevant time what those legitimate interests are.

While providing delivery services through the Deliver In Person App our customers will be able to see your first name (as provided on the Deliver In Person App) and your location while you are on delivery.
We may use third party service providers such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure to operate the Deliver In Person App. These service providers will have access to your information for the purposes described in this privacy policy, and we require them to protect it in accordance with the standards set out in this privacy policy.
If our business enters into a joint venture with, purchases or is sold to or merged with another entity, your personal information may be disclosed or transferred to the target company, our new business partners or owners or their advisors.
We may allow third party marketing and advertising companies, our affiliates and associates, to send direct marketing to you occasionally about services that may be of interest to you. They may contact you by telephone, SMS as well as by e-mail. You may opt-out of receiving this information through the unsubscribe function that will be made available to you with each marketing communication or at the time of initial registration as provided on the Deliver InPerson App.
We may also disclose your information to police, government agencies and other third parties where we believe we are required to do so by applicable law or regulation (including a court order), or where we believe disclosure is necessary to exercise, establish or defend legal rights or to protect the vital interests of any person.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will keep your personal information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.
Additionally, we take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information when we no longer need it.
We will retain your personal information as long as we have legitimate business need to do so (for example, to enable us to meet our legal, tax or accounting obligations while you are using the Deliver In Person App).
We will destroy or permanently anonymise your personal information at the point that we no longer need to process it for our legitimate business needs or for any legal reason. If this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store it and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
Your information will not be disclosed to overseas recipients.
We may, from time to time, store some personal information on servers owned or based outside Australia with our service providers. Where we need to do so, we will give you the required notice under law and identify those overseas servers. Our contractual arrangements with our service providers comply with the requirements of the privacy law in Australia. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that those service providers do not breach Australian privacy laws in relation to your personal information and that your personal information is stored securely, having regard to its nature and source.
By agreeing to the terms of use of the Deliver In Person App, you consent to the collection, use, storage and processing of your personal information outside Australia on those cloud servers.
You may provide us notice of your objection to us processing certain categories of your personal information. We will retain a record of your request so that we can continue to process your information in accordance with your instructions.
